NZ Herald wrote a thing about me
The long AI piece is on the way! In the meantime, read this Herald thing if you like.
It’s a very strange feeling to have bits of your background offered up to the public for their thoughts, but that happened to me this Sunday.
A journalist from the NZ Herald approached me a couple of weeks ago about putting together a profile, and I agreed. A couple of phone chats later, and BAM, this came out. Wild.
All sorts of people have come out of the woodwork in the few days since, and the feedback has been almost overwhelmingly positive. Still, it feels pretty weird.
I’ve got a whole piece brewing about how it has felt to have this level of scrutiny. How weird it is to see an edited version of your life, where someone else has picked out what they thought was salient or most interesting. And so on.
But for now, I’m working on the longer essay about AI I promised you, and my house goes to auction tomorrow. So, if you haven’t read this Herald piece, go for it.
What a great read!
